Fantasy has been a passion of mine almost all my life and I have read many of the greats out there, such as Jim Butcher, Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson, J.R.R. Tolkien, George R.R. Martin, Diana Gabaldon, and more… I love everything there is about this genre and have even played many games in fantasy worlds. A fantasy world is the place I feel most comfortable in life.
The passion for writing has always been there. I was recognized for writing since my high school days and was published in a professor’s publication of short stories in my first college creative writing class. The difficulty I always had, was getting something finished.
I have pages and pages worth of words stored on my laptop, but it took me a long time to get to where I am now. This story was in development for a while until the writing bug hit me back in 2019 when I was out in California visiting my parents. I was there for two weeks and in that time, I filled over two spiral notebooks of writing!
What started out as another ordinary fan fiction story about a character I had in a game become something so much greater than I ever expected. Soon there were so many ideas coming out of my brain, I could barely keep writing fast enough to get it all down.
Instead of writing a story in that game setting, I took my character and made a whole new world for her with unique races to go along with it. Now I hold an actual physical book in my hand, and it is like no other feeling in the world!
